Borage Seed -
nature's most potent source of GLA at 24%. Works in synergy with Flax Seed. Particularly
useful to those with people who lack the enzymatic ability to convert linolenic acid to
GLA including those with diabetes, asthma, cystic fibrosis multiple sclerosis, and
alcoholism. Also contains Omega VI in good amounts.Flax
Seed - world's richest source of Omega III at a huge 57% - two times the
amount of Omega III in fish oil. It also contains alpha-linolenic, Linolenic acid, and
Omega VI in appreciable amounts. Works in synergy with Borage Seed. It also contains
lignans which which are changed by bacteria in the intestine to compounds which are
extremely protective against cancer, especially breast cancer. The lignans are also
antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral.
Gamma Linoleic Acid
(GLA) - is
converted to Prostaglandins which have hormonal regulatory actions including: control of
arterial muscle tone, sodium excretion through the kidneys, blood platelet inflammatory
response, and immune functions. Shown to help with: high blood pressure, high cholesterol,
skin conditions, arthritis, allergies, weight loss, improved behavior of hyperactive
children, and increased strength of hair and nails.
L-Carnitine
- is needed
to transform fatty acids into energy for muscular activity. It is also concentrated in
sperm and the brain. Many athletes have noted increased endurance and muscle building with
Carnitine supplementation. Carnitine has been shown to be beneficial for heart problems
such as angina, ischemia or arrhythmia, and poor endurance, muscle weakness or obesity.
Deficiencies may increase symptoms of fatigue, angina, muscle weakness or confusion. It
has proven helpful in improving lipid metabolism and reducing elevated total lipids,
cholesterol and triglycerides in people with either cardiac problems and diabetes.
Methionine
- essential amino
acid that is not synthesized by the body and must be obtained from food. It acts as a
lipotropic agent to prevent excess fat buildup in the liver.
Omega III
- essential fatty acid
that is present in both fish and plant sources. They assist in the regulation the body's
fatty acid metabolism. Fat metabolism is as important, if not more critical than our
body's protein and carbohydrate metabolism.
Omega VI -
Linoleic acid that
forms different Prostaglandins than Omega III. Used to form GLA.

Approximately 80% of USA population is deficient in the essential Fatty acids
Unfortunately, mass commercial refinement of our foods containing fatty acids has
eliminated these from our diet. This has caused a serious lack of Omega III and Omega VI
fatty acids. There are over 60 health ailments that these fatty acids
have been scientifically validated to help with.
Reports have indicated that about 90% of
the fish oil capsules taken each year are rancid by the time that they are used. Advanced
Omega is dry and not a fish oil capsule like other products.
The Eskimo "Paradox"
Many years ago, scientists were puzzled by an apparent "paradox"
that existed among a tribe of Greenland Eskimos. It was observed that despite the high
levels of fat in their diets, the population had remarkably low levels of cardiovascular
disease. Scientists found that the agents responsible for the low levels of disease were
the Omega-3 fatty acids, unsaturated fats which are found in high concentrations in
northern cold-water fish such as salmon, mackerel and sardines.
