MS - Multiple Sclerosis is a
disease of the central nervous system affecting the brain, optic nerves of the
eye, and the spinal chord. MS destroys the myelin sheaths that cover the nerves
leaving scar tissue and eventually killing the nerve. This process is called sclerosis.
Symptoms of multiple sclerosis include: dizziness , mood changes , depression
, eye problems , blurred or double vision , tingling or numbness in hands /
feet, loss of balance, stiffness, slurred speech, tremors, fatigue,
weakness, impotence , and difficulty breathing.
Multiple Sclerosis affects people in the United States more due to their diet
high in saturated fats, cholesterol, and alcohol. People suffering from MS may
benefit from a colon intestinal cleansing.

| Multiple sclerosis affects the ability of nerve cells in both
the person's brain and spinal cord to communicate with each other well. Nerve
cells communicate by sending electrical signals called action potentials down
long fibers called axons, which are contained within an insulating substance
called myelin, and with MS, the body's immune system attacks and damages this
myelin. When the myelin is lost then the axons can no longer effectively send
signals. The name multiple sclerosis refers to scars "scleroses" also
known as plaques or lesions particularly in the brain's white matter and spinal
cord, that is mainly composed of myelin. Even though much is known about the
mechanisms involved in the MS disease process, the cause remains unknown. The
various theories include genetics or infections, but different environmental
risk factors have also been identified.
Almost any neurological symptom can appear with the disease, and often
progresses to physical and cognitive disability. Multiple sclerosis takes
several forms, with new symptoms occurring either in discrete attacks called
relapsing forms or slowly accumulating over time the progressive forms. In
between MS attacks, the symptoms can go away completely, but permanent
neurological problems often occur, especially as the disease advances.
There is thought to be no known cure for multiple sclerosis. Treatments
attempt to return function after an attack, prevent new attacks, and prevent
disability. MS medications often have many adverse effects or are poorly
tolerated, and many people try alternative treatments. Despite the lack of
supporting scientific study to help them make choices. The prognosis is
difficult to predict; it depends on the type of the disease, the individual
patient's disease characteristics, the initial symptoms, and the amount of
disability the person experiences as the MS progresses. The expected life
expectancy of persons suffering with multiple sclerosis is 5 - 10 years less
than that of the unaffected people. |

"The person who takes medicine must recover twice, once
from the disease and once from the medicine." William Osler, M.D.
"The cause of most disease is in the poisonous drugs

Page, M.D.
"If all the medicine in the world were thrown into the sea,
it would be bad for the fish and good for humanity."

"Every drug increases and complicates the patients
condition." Robert Henderson, M.D.
"In sickness the body is already loaded with impurities. By
taking drug - medicines more impurities are added, thereby the case is further
embarrassed and harder to cure." Elmer Lee, M.D.
"The necessity of teaching mankind not to take drugs and
medicines, is a duty incumbent upon all who know their uncertainty and injurious
effects; and the time is not far distant when the drug system will be
abandoned." Charles Armbruster, M.D.

You
have a wonderful human body that when given the right nutrients in the right
amounts can heal itself.
"Most people do not consume an optimal amount of all vitamins by diet
alone. Pending strong evidence of effectiveness from randomized trials, it
appears prudent for all adults to take vitamin supplements." - JAMA
Journal of the American Medical Association 6/12/2002 Vol 287
There are
hundreds of studies which show the risk of cancer, heart disease, and other top
killers is reduced by eating more than just the minimal RDA standards.
Prevention
is the main defense from disease. Detoxification and having proper nutritional
balance is the treatment. Natural foods, herbs, vitamins and supplements to

You would not think of exposing yourself to an Atomic Bomb fallout or
excessive X-rays. But not getting enough vitamins and minerals is just as
dangerous. Cells in your body not getting their vitamins and minerals suffer
both DNA and mitochondrial damage. These cells under a microscope look like they
have been hit with radiation. This type of damage may cause you to age faster
and can lead to Cancer
and other degenerative diseases like Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and others.
