Crohn's disease occurs normally between the ages of 14 and 32. However, there are more cases being reported in children and other ages. The attacks may occur every few months the every few years and if  the disease continues for several years then bowels can be damaged. The disease may increase chances  for cancer by perhaps as much as 20 times. Symptoms may include loss of appetite, weight loss, abdominal pains, diarrhea, rectal bleeding, fever, headaches, and digestive problems. Crohn's is not contagious and its cause is still not known. Studies seem to indicate that free radical damage could be involved and a lack of vitamins C and E could be a factor. natural treatment cure medicine information herbal alternative healing nutrition

Crohn's disease is one type of inflammatory bowel disease IBD and normally manifests in the human gastrointestinal tract and can be categorized by the specific tract region affected. A disease of both the ileum (last part of the small intestine), and the large intestine, Ileocolic Crohn's accounts for 50% of cases.

Crohn's ileitis, manifest in the ileum only, accounts for 30% of cases, while Crohn's colitis, of the large intestine, accounts for the remaining 20% of cases and can be very difficult to distinguish from ulcerative colitis. Gastroduodenal Crohn's disease causes inflammation in the persons's stomach and first part of their small intestine called the duodenum. Jejunoileitis causes spotty patches of inflammation in the upper half of the small intestine, called the jejunum. The disease may attack any part of the human digestive tract, from mouth down to the anus. But individuals affected by this disease rarely fall outside these three classifications, with presentations in other areas.

Many people with Crohn's disease have symptoms for years prior to the diagnosis. The normal onset of the disease is between 15 to 30 years of age, but may occur at other ages. Because of the both the patchy nature of the gastrointestinal disease and the depth of tissue involvement, the initial symptoms can be more subtle than symptoms for ulcerative colitis. Patients with Crohn's disease will experience chronic recurring periods of flare-ups and remission.

The symptoms caused by intestinal stenosis are also commonly seen with Crohn's disease. Abdominal pain is often very severe in areas of the person's bowel with stenoses. In the setting of severe stenosis, both vomiting and nausea can indicate the start of  small bowel obstructions. Although this type association is greater in ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease can also be associated with primary sclerosing cholangitis that is a type of inflammation of the bile ducts of the person.

Note that perianal discomfort may also be prominent in Crohn's disease. As well as itchiness or pain around their anus that can suggest inflammation problems, fistulization or abscess around the anal area or anal fissure. Perianal skin tags are also very common in Crohn's disease. And fecal incontinence may occur with perianal Crohn's disease. But at the opposite end of the gastrointestinal tract, the mouth can be affected by non-healing sores called "aphthous ulcers". However, rarely are the esophagus and/or stomach involved in Crohn's disease. These can cause symptoms including difficulty swallowing or "dysphagia", upper abdominal pain, and vomiting.
