| Arteriosclerosis and
atherosclerosis involve the buildup of deposits on the insides of the artery
walls, which causes thickening and hardening of the arteries. In
arteriosclerosis, the deposits are composed largely of calcium; in
atherosclerosis, the deposits consist of fatty substances. Both conditions have
about the same effect on circulation, causing high
blood pressure and ultimately leading to angina (chest pain brought on
by exertion), heart attack, stroke, and/or sudden
cardiac death. Although arteriosclerosis causes high blood pressure, the blood
pressure problem can also cause arteriosclerosis. Calcium based and fatty
deposits typically form in areas of the arteries that have been weakened by high
blood pressure or strain. |

|
The consequent narrowing of the arteries then makes blood
pressure that is already high even higher. As the arteries become less
pliable and less permeable, cells may experience ischemia (oxygen starvation)
due to insufficient circulation. If one of the coronary arteries becomes
obstructed by accumulated deposits, or by a blood clot that has either formed or
snagged on the deposit, the heart muscle will be starved for oxygen and an
individual will suffer a heart attack, also referred to as a myocardial
infarction or coronary. Older people are at a greater risk for this kind of
heart trouble. When arteriosclerosis occludes the arterial supply of blood to
the brain, a cerebrovascular accident, or stroke,
occurs. click here for more information

Types of Arteriosclerosis
Arteriosclerosis obliterans is typically seen in medium and large arteries of
the lower extremity. Characterized by fibrosis of the intima and calcification
of the media. The lumen of the vessel may be obliterated or markedly narrowed.
Medial calcific sclerosis Monckeberg’s calcific sclerosis is seen
mainly in the elderly, commonly in arteries of the extremities. Characterized by
calcification of the tunica media but without thickening of the intima or
narrowing of the vessel lumen. A similar form of an intramural calcification,
presenting the picture of an early phase of arteriosclerosis, appears to be
caused by a number of prescription drugs that have an antiproliferative
mechanism of action. |

"The person who takes medicine must recover twice, once
from the disease and once from the medicine." William Osler, M.D.
"The cause of most disease is in the poisonous drugs
physicians superstitiously give in order to effect a cure." Charles E.
Page, M.D.
"If all the medicine in the world were thrown into the sea,
it would be bad for the fish and good for humanity."
O.W. Holmes, (Prof. of Medicine Harvard University)
"Every drug increases and complicates the patients
condition." Robert Henderson, M.D.
"In sickness the body is already loaded with impurities. By
taking drug - medicines more impurities are added, thereby the case is further
embarrassed and harder to cure." Elmer Lee, M.D.
"The necessity of teaching mankind not to take drugs and
medicines, is a duty incumbent upon all who know their uncertainty and injurious
effects; and the time is not far distant when the drug system will be

You would not think of exposing yourself to an Atomic Bomb fallout or
excessive X-rays. But not getting enough vitamins and minerals is just as
dangerous. Cells in your body not getting their vitamins and minerals suffer
both DNA and mitochondrial damage. These cells under a microscope look like they
have been hit with radiation. This type of damage may cause you to age faster
and can lead to Cancer
and other degenerative diseases like Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and others.
